my wife and i wanted to let you know that one of the wonderful african american women pioneers in womens pro wrestling passed away on the week of april 21, 2003 in albuquerque new mexico. her passing was very sudden and came as a terrible shock to her family. i had met babs many years ago and she was truely a very special and kind woman. my wife and babs had wrestled against each other many many times and had become good friends over the years. my wife talked about visiting babs mothers home many times ,at babs insistance, and spending many hours in the kitchen as babs mother served enough home cooked food to feed a multitude of hungry wrestlers. our heart felt sympathy goes out to her wonderful family.
we will miss you babs.
