Brawl Mum Must Pay Sept. 2002 A mum-of-four has been ordered to compensate a woman injured in a pub brawl. Beverley Dunn had a bottle in her hand when she clashed with another drinker in a Middlesbrough bar. Violence erupted after drink was spilt, and Dunn and Eileen Claire Black grabbed each others hair. Miss Black ended up with a gash to her forehead and scratches to her neck. Dunn, 27, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, on the basis that she didn't hit Miss Black with the bottle. The court heard how trouble flared on Feb 9th, after the two women had gone out drinking in Middlesbrough. They were with respective friends and neither knew each other before their paths crossed. Words were exchanged after drink was spilt and the two women started fighting. They were separated by door staff , Miss Black bleeding from a head injury. Both were ejected from the pub.
