A woman security guard has gone on trial at Teesside Crown Court accused of biting through the little finger of another woman during a fight..

The row started when the alleged victim complained that Rookes was smoking in a food shop. Rookes' response was to flick ash on the victims Pizza., which resulted in a fight breaking out.

Rookes claimed the other woman came at her with both hands and said they had grabbed each others hair and that the other woman had tried to scratch her face, with both of them eventually letting go of each other.

It is alleged that Rookes soon got the upper hand and in the process bit the finger causing blood to pour out.

When the victim complained "you've bitten my finger" Rookes replied "yes good isn't it".
