Mum bitten in brawl after families feud Oct 2001 A 35 year old mother of three attacked another mother outside the one stop shop in Pewsham, Wiltshire. The women’s two daughters had fallen out and the families had been in dispute for nearly two years. The mothers had met to try and resolve the dispute but had been unsuccessful. The brawl happened about at about 8pm when the 35 year old’s daughter met the other lady’s daughter in the shop. Words were exchanged between the two teenagers. The 35 yr old’s daughter went outside to phone her mum, saying there was trouble. The other girl called her mum and both parents went to the shop. When the second mother arrived the 35 yrs old went towards her shouting, waving her arms and being aggressive. She punched her and kneed her in the stomach, which knocked her to the ground. Once there the 35 yr old straddled her and continued to hit her before pulling her top over her head, and pulling her bra over her head revealing her breasts, which resulted in great embarrassment. People were gathered outside the shop and were shouting and telling the women to get off the other women. After some time she did get off but still tried to provoke the other women to fight, but she just walked away. The injured women was taken to hospital with bite marks to both hands, her left breast and left cheek, and her left eye was badly swollen and bruised.
